Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of secrethomewatch.com, the Home Watch Club, our newsletter and the Home Watch Binder. The site is operated by Faces Off LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

1. Information, not professional advice

Our guides, checklists, emails and the Binder are general information for homeowners in the United States. They are not professional, engineering, legal, insurance, tax or financial advice, and they don't replace a home inspection or a licensed contractor. Homes, local codes and climates differ. You are responsible for deciding whether a task is safe for you. Do not attempt electrical, gas, roofing, structural or other hazardous work you're not qualified to do. In an emergency, call 911.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account or make a purchase.

3. Home Watch Club membership

• Membership is free. You need a verified email address and a password.
• Keep your password confidential. You're responsible for activity under your account; tell us promptly if you think it's been misused.
• You can delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or are used to abuse the site.
• Members receive account emails (verification and password resets). The newsletter is separate and optional.
• We may change or discontinue club features. If we discontinue the club, we'll give members reasonable notice by email where we can.

4. The Home Watch Binder

• The price is shown on the product page in US dollars. Payment is a single charge, not a subscription. Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout.
• Payments are handled by our third-party checkout provider, whose terms also apply to the transaction.
• When you buy the Binder, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download, print and use it for your own home or homes. You may not resell, redistribute, publish or share the file, or use it for commercial purposes.
• Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

5. Email

We send the newsletter only to people who sign up and confirm by email, and you can unsubscribe at any time. See our Email and Anti-Spam Policy.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use the site to break the law, sign up other people without their permission, submit false information, interfere with the site's security or operation, scrape it in bulk, or send spam or harmful content through our forms.

7. Our content

The site's text, checklists, design and the Binder are owned by Faces Off LLC and protected by copyright. You may print or save pages for personal, non-commercial use. Please link to us rather than copying our content.

8. Links to other sites

We may link to other websites, such as government safety resources. We're not responsible for their content or practices.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that following our content will prevent damage, loss or injury.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Faces Off LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for property damage or personal injury resulting from tasks you choose to perform, arising from your use of the site or its content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site or the Binder is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50. Some states don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Faces Off LLC against claims arising from your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, unless the law of your state of residence gives you the right to bring it where you live.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change is material, we'll notify members by email. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
