Secret Home Watch

About Secret Home Watch

The "secret" is that most expensive home repairs give warning signs months ahead. A stain in the attic, a downspout dumping water at the foundation, a smoke alarm past its date. We help homeowners notice those signs and deal with them while they are still small.

What we do

We publish free guides and a seasonal checklist for homeowners in the United States, run the free Home Watch Club for tracking home maintenance, send The Home Watch Letter to subscribers who ask for it, and sell one digital product, The Home Watch Binder.

What we don't do

We are not contractors, home inspectors, insurers or a monitoring company, and we do not visit or watch properties. Our content is general information. For electrical, gas, roofing and structural work, or anything that feels unsafe, we always recommend a licensed local professional.

How we keep it useful

  • We stick to checks a typical homeowner can do safely, and say clearly when to call a pro.
  • Where there is a well-known standard, like NFPA guidance on smoke alarms or calling 811 before digging, we point to it.
  • We don't accept sponsored content, and we don't sell or share our readers' information.

Who runs it

Secret Home Watch is operated by Faces Off LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company.
